Spicejet Booking India

SpiceJet is a low-cost airline, which started its service from May 2005. By 2008, the airline has captured the position of second-largest low-cost airline in terms of market share in India. In 2007, Skytrax voted SpiceJet as the finest low-priced airline in South Asia and Central Asia region. Headquarter of the airline is situated in Gurgaon, Haryana, India.

Passengers of SpiceJet Airline can book their SpiceJet ticket to 22 destinations across India, Nepal and Sri Lanka. The airline started its international operation through connecting Chennai and Colombo, Sri Lanka on 7 October 2010. They started their Katmandu, Nepal operation through starting flights from Delhi to Katmandu on 9 October 2010.

Ajay Singh, Sanjay Malhotra and the Kansagra family together established SpiceJet Airlines. The airline aims to compete with the Indian Railways for their AC passenger booking. To keep their promise of becoming India’s leading low-cost airline, SpiceJet has accepted an investment of INR345 crore (US$76.94 million) from a private equity farm led by US based billionaire Wilbur Ross on 15 July 2008. Kalanidhi Maran, the Indian business tycoon has acquired 37.7% share in the business of SpiceJet with an investment of Rs. 750 cr., in June 2010.

Fly to Several Destinations with SpiceJet Online Booking

The SpiceJet flights cover 22 destinations across India, Nepal and Sri Lanka. It operates 186 daily flights to these destinations. SpiceJet booking covers Indian cities as Agartala, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bagdogra, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Guwahati, Goa, Hyderabad, Jammu, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Madurai, Mumbai, Pune, Srinagar, Varanasi and Visakhapatnam. On the other hand, SpiceJet ticket booking is also available for two international destinations, Kathmandu and Colombo.

SpiceJet onboard service

SpiceJet Passengers can buy snacks/refreshments and juices on some selected SpiceJet flights and that are also subjected to availability. SpiceJet provides its passengers free water in its all flights.

SpiceJet Fleet

SpiceJet is currently operating its operation with 25 Boeing 737-800 aircraft, 5 Boeing 737-900ER aircraft and 3 Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 aircrafts. The Boeing 737-800 aircraft has the capacity of carrying 189 passengers with it, 737-900ER aircraft has the capacity of carrying 212 passengers with it and the Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 aircrafts has the capacity of carrying 78 passengers with it. SpiceJet has named their each aircraft fleet after a spice. The organization has selected these aircraft fleets because these can offer safe, comfortable and efficient flying experience to its passengers in short to medium-haul distance in Indian conditions. The average age of SpiceJet fleets are 4.7 years.

SpiceJet made an order for 15 Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 aircrafts on December 9, 2011. Among the order, three aircrafts are already delivered to SpiceJet. The airline also took another option for purchasing more 15 aircraft after completion of the delivery.

SpiceJet Flight Booking

Currently, you can book your flight for any domestic destination and international destination until 24th March 2012.

After logging on the SpiceJet website, you have to look at the availability of flights and fares. Then you have to select the flight and fares and have to agree to SpiceJet’s terms and conditions, and after filling your particulars, you have to complete the payment process and then you have to generate your itinerary. You can also book your ticket by calling SpiceJet's 24-Hour Guest Sales & Reservation Center at 18001803333 or 9871803333. Guests can also book their tickets by visiting SpiceJet’s airport ticket counters or sales offices. Further, you can also book your seat through SpiceJet’s selected travel agents.

After completion of the payment procedure, your passenger Booking Reference Number (PNR) and Travel Itinerary (your reference, receipt and booking detail) will be issued and will be provided in person or it will be emailed to you. Guests can also collect these at SpiceJet’s airport sales counter, which is located just outside of the terminal.

As a competitive fare airline, SpiceJet do not offer any kind of special fare or discount for students and senior citizens.  There are also no discounts in family packages. Whereas, Indian Armed Force Personnel can get 50% discount on base fare. However, Passenger Service Fee, relevant airport and fuel charge will apply.
